Talk Radio Europe, Spain’s most listened to English speaking talk radio station, is now broadcasting in Mallorca on 103.9fm. Talk Radio Europe replaces the Spanish news station Radio Diario previously broadcasting on that frequency.Talk Radio Europe Logo

The need was identified in the Mallorcan market for an English speaking radio station, which was not music based. The age range of Mallorca’s expat population begins to peak from 35+ years, which perfectly matches Talk Radio Europe’s target audience. The move to Mallorca follows the launch in July of its international website www.talkradioeurope.net

Talk Radio Europe broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 103.9fm, on the internet, or via smart phones using mobile apps. Programmes are available “On Demand” on the website for one week after broadcast with a selection of interviews via podcasts on “Listen Again.” A full range of programmes and other information is available at www.talkradioeurope.com

Speaking ahead of the launch, Talk Radio Europe CEO, Steve Gilmour, said “Talk Radio Europe brings to Mallorca what listeners in southern Spain have been enjoying for years. Our information based programming not only appeals to native English speakers, but also to people who want to improve their English. Our programmes and presenters become part of our listeners’ daily routine.”

Along with a unique combination of local, national and international news, the station conducts around 50 interviews per week with a diverse range of high profile guests from around the world, discussing politics, world affairs, celebrity, health and beauty, and the arts. Weekend programmes incorporate specialist music shows making the station a one stop shop for discussion, guests and quality music.
